Winners of the Ipswich Cornhill International Design Competition
The Paul Hogarth Company is delighted to announce its success as part of the Hall McKnight team in winning the Ipswich Cornhill International Design Competition. The truly transformational proposal for the main square of Ipswich was selected from an especially strong field of entries. The judging panel, led by eminent retailer Sir Stuart Rose, identified the project has having the ability to catalyse the regeneration of the heart of the large Suffolk town. A raised stone plateau, iconic tower and dancing circle of fountains will put Cornhill back on the map of European city squares.
As Landscape Architects, Urban Designers and Consultation Facilitators, The Paul Hogarth Company will play a central role in delivery of the contemporary space, alongside a highly talented team led by architects Hall McKnight. We look forward to working with Ipswich Borough Council, its partners and the people of Ipswich to bring this exciting scheme to fruition.
