Draft proposals for a new greenway between Carryduff and Cairnshill in Belfast were launched for consultation on Wednesday 6 October.
The Paul Hogarth Company with McGarry Consulting, has been commissioned by Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council to prepare a feasibility study into the concept.
We are now working closely with Carryduff Regeneration Forum and other stakeholders to explore the potential of a foot and cycle connection between Lough Moss Leisure Centre and Cairnshill Park & Ride.
A series of potential ‘route corridors’ have been identified for discussion with residents, landowners, local businesses and wider stakeholders.
Should the project proceed beyond this feasibility stage, a more detailed public consultation, planning and design process will take place.
A well-attended public drop-in event took place on 6 October at Lough Moss Leisure Centre.
