National Design Award for Bank Street Basin

The Paul Hogarth Company is delighted to have received a Commendation from the Landscape Institute for the design of Bank Street Basin in Coatbridge.

The 2011 Landscape Institute Awards is the national competition for Landscape Architecture in the UK and the award was presented to Stuart and Paul by Tim Smit, KBE, founder of the Eden Project.

Bank Street Basin, with its emblematic corten steel sculptures, was entered in the most competitive category:  ‘Design Under 1 Hectare’.

The awards judges cited the transformational impact of the project, which celebrates the industrial past whilst creating a dynamic new civic space for Coatbridge.
